Handwara, April 25 : To provide accessiblity, shops with essential commodities like food grain, groceries, milk, fruits, vegetables etc will remain open in north Kashmir’s Handwara from 6 PM to 7 PM.
An official told Kashmir Despatch that the shops of essential items like food fruit milk etc will remain open in all rural area of tehsil Handwara from 6 pm to 7pm as per the directions of district administration.
He said the shops will remain closed at RED ZONE ITI Handwara and around the Handwara town.
People are requested to maintain social distance, and use masks, come out for essential items only he added.
Pertinently, The Ministry of Home Affairs on Friday evening allowed the reopening of certain shops in rural and urban areas. The ministry said that the norms have been relaxed for registered shops and ones that are outside municipalities from Saturday onwards. However, the government stated that these shops must function only with 50 per cent staff and ensure that social distancing norms and other precautions are followed.
