Sopore, April 29 : The Sopore administration has decided to allow few essential services to operate during the lockdown. The valley wide lockdown-like measures will come into effect from 7 pm today on Thursday and will continue till Monday 6 p.m.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Sopore Parvez Sajad Ganaie told Kashmir Despatch that in view of the blessed month of Ramadhan few essential services will remain open for the convenience of people.
“We want people to cooperate with the administration in order to stop the spread of this deadly virus. Bakers, mutton shops, agricultural shops, milk shops will remain open at specific times,” ADC Sopore said.
In an order issued by the administration, it is stated that bankers, mutton shops, milk shops and agricultural stores will remain open from 7 a.m- 9 a.m and from 3:30 p.m- 5:00 p.m on all the three days.
Shops that sell commodities related to agriculture will be allowed also to operate as it is the season of agriculture.
Meanwhile the ADC Sopore has appealed to the people of Sopore to adhere to proper SOPs, cooperate with administration else strict measures will be taken against the violators.
