Bandipora, Aug 16: The former MLA and Senior political leader of the Nation conference from Bandipora welcomes the decision of the election commission of India after poll dates announced for Jammu and Kashmir on Friday.
Speaking with the Kashmir Despatch, Gh Rasool Naaz said that having own representatives in assembly will help peoples to raise their voices and demands.
He also said that people of Jammu and Kashmir were eagerly waiting for this day; now they have the choice to choose their representatives who will be better for them.
Replying to a question that in parliamentary elections people rejected traditional parties in north Kashmir, Naaz said that that election was against the center. “The assembly elections will be different as it is for the benefit of people and they know whom they have to choose,”.
“It was a long pending demand from all the peoples of Kashmir to conduct assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir valley which was fulfilled today. We hope like parliamentary elections people in large numbers in Kashmir will cast their vote to choose their representatives,” he added.
