Srinagar, March 05: A former senior Information Officer of DIPR, Haji Mohamad Yousuf Bhat Raja expired today after a brief illness. He was 89.
Many of his former colleagues, friends and relatives attended his Nimazi Jinaza held at Umar Coloney, Lal Bazar, Srinagar.
Known for his qualities of philanthropy and helping nature, late Raja was quite familiar with his colleagues and comrades.
He worked in the Department in various capacities and under the guidance of luminaries in the department including late Janki Nath Zutshi, BP Sharma, GD Sharma, Bakshi Ghulam Ali, DN Razdan, Ghulam Nabi Turi, Muhammad Amin Pandit, Shyam Lal Pir and other stalwarts. During the career he rose to the position of Press Officer with former Chief Minister, late GM Shah and former Minister, Dr Mustafa Kamal.
Many of his former colleagues have condoled the demise of Mr. Raja.
