Srinagar, April 12 : Samba Police has arrested father for committing murder of his son, attempting to murder his wife and injuring his daughter at Dhaki, Sumb in the jurisdiction of PP Goran of P/S Samba.
Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh told Kashmir Scroll that police has registered a murder / attempt to murder case FIR No. 78/2023 u/s 302/307 IPC at Police Station Samba through Police Post Goran and arrested the accused identified as Kulbir Singh s/o Jaswant Singh r/o Dhaki Sumb Samba.
Further investigation in the case is going on, he said.
Preliminary investigation revealed that early in the morning today accused Kulbir Singh attacked his 20 year old son Jeetan Singh, wife Poonam and his 16 year old daughter with a sharp edged weapon of offence (‘darat’), killed his son and injured his wife & daughter, he said.
On receiving information about the incident, police immediately swung into action, registered murder case, rushed to the spot, arrested accused and started further investigation, SSP said.
