Srinagar, Oct 17: The Jammu and Kashmir administration on Friday ordered the adhoc appointment of ten Sub-Judges as District Judges (Entry Level), following the recommendations of the High Court of J&K and Ladakh.
According to an order issued by the Home Department, based on a letter from the Registrar General of the High Court, the appointments have been made under Rule 20 of the J&K Higher Judicial Service Rules, 2009.
The judicial officers appointed on an adhoc basis include Mir Wajahat, Aadil Mushtaq, Fozia Paul, Mehreen Mushtaq, Feroz Ahmad Khan, Imran Hussain Wani, Preet Simran Kour, Fayaz Ahmad Qureshi, Umesh Sharma, and Sheikh Gowhar Hussain.
The order specifies that these appointments will remain valid for six months or until regular selections or appointments are made, whichever is earlier. It further clarifies that the temporary elevation will not grant any right to seniority or preference over officers selected through regular recruitment under the Direct or Limited Competitive Examination (LCE) quota.
The officers will be reverted to their parent cadre once regular appointments are finalized, unless vacancies persist in their respective categories, the order added. (KDC)
