FIRST EVER NCC CAMP IN GUREZ-TULAIL VALLEY

With an intent of developing character, discipline, adventurous spirit and selfless service amongst the youth, The first ever NCC camp has been organised in the Gurez-Tulail Valley.

The camp aims at creating a pool of organised, trained and motivated youth with leadership qualities who have the flair to loyally serve the Nation. It also provides a platform for the youth of Gurez valley to interact with the youth of other parts of Kashmir.

The NCC training camp is being organised at Dawar in Gurez Sector of Bandipora district, UT of Jammu and Kashmir. The camp will be conducted from 16 to 24 Sept 2021 for the Senior Division NCC cadets belonging to the Schools/Colleges of
Jammu, Uri, Kupwara, Handwara, Sopore, Pattan, Bandipora, Baramulla & Gurez valley.

A total of 160 Senior Wing cadets are participating in the camp including 25 girls.The camp is being organised under the aegis of ADG NCC Directorate Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh in coordination and with requisite support of the Indian Army formation in Gurez Sector.

The camp will impart collective training to cadets, provide them an opportunity to experience community living, to cooperate and work together. It also aims at inculcating leadership qualities and spirit of adventure by taking part in activities like trekking, camping, sports and games to develop a love for the outdoors and sportsmanship.

They will also be sharing their experiences of joining NCC and bringing out the values of patriotism and nationalism.
