Five dead, five injured in Doda road mishap


Doda, Apr 13 (KS) : In a tragedy, five persons were killed, while five others were injured in a road mishap in Doda district on Saturday evening.

An official told News Agency Kashmir Scroll that an Eco vehicle bearing registration number JK06A 3089 was on its way to Karhawa from Thathri how’ver when reached Khanpura met with an accident.

The official said that in the mishap ten persons were critically injured and were immediately taken to nearby hospital where doctors declared five injured brought dead.

Meanwhile, a police officer also confirmed this road mishap to news agency Kashmir Scroll and identified all deceased as Mukhtiyar Ahmad son of Abdul Gani of Bandoga, Riyaz Ahmad son of Abdul Gani of Phagsoo, Ireena Begum wife of Saddam Hussian of Ghunti, Mohammad Rafi son of Abdul Rehman of Phagsoo and a baby girl.

The official also identified all injured as Mohd Amin son of Mohd Shafi of Phagsoo, Sufyan Shiekh son of Bashir Ahmad of Behndoga, Saiyma Begum wife of Mohd Amin besides two minor baby girls also sustained injuries. The official further added that all the injured are undergoing treatment at Sub-district hospital Doda.

Meanwhile, police took cognizance of this road mishap. (KS)
