21 Across Kashmir Tests positive J-K tally rises to 545
Baramulla, April 27 : Five members of a family have tested positive for COVID-19 in north Kashmir’s Baramulla taking the toll to 17 in the town and it’s adjoining areas.
An official told Kashmir Despatch, total five persons tested positive today in Baramulla and all are from one family including minor, two females and two males of Malpora Narwav.
The officer said all are the primary contacts of a policeman who was tested positive last week.
Officer further added, Malpora village of Baramulla witnessed 13 positive cases of COVID-19 sofar while more samples have been taken from the area and results are awaited.
The five fresh cases added to more anxiety and fear among the residents of Baramulla belt as the toll mounts to 17 including two women from old town Baramulla and a resident of Rafiabad.
Meanwhile A health official at SKMIS told this newspaper total 21 persons tested positive in Kashmir and among 05 from Baramulla Distt.
05 from Shopian Distt, 03 from Bandipor Distt, 01 from Kupwara Distt, 01 from Budgam District.
The total number of COVID-19 positive cases stands now at 545 in Jammu and Kashmir.
