Srinagar : Director Tourism Kashmir Dr G N Itoo said following Covid19 SOP strictly has helped in flow of tourists in Kashmir.
In a statement issued to Kashmir Despatch ” Following the Covid19 SOP strictly is creating a sense of safety among tourists. They asks others to visit Kashmir rather than any other foreign country in times of Covid,” he told reporters after kick starting Shikara Rally on B.R. Ambedkars Birthday.
He said main aim of tourism department is to promote tourism in Kashmir through different programmes.
“we have seen that despite covid the flow of tourists are high as compared to last year,.” he said.
Director Tourism also said that various physical campaigns and on social media has helped in the flow of tourism in Kashmir.
He also said hotel staff and officials have been senitized in following the Covid19 protocol.
