Forces launch search operation in Sopore village

Sopore, Oct 11 : Security forces on Sunday afternoon launched a cordon and search operation in north Kashmir’s Sopore village.

Kashmir Despatch learnt from official sources that a joint team of Army’s 22 RR, SOG and CRPF sealed Bomai village in Sopore on Sunday afternoon following inputs about the presence of some militants in the area.

Local sources informed this newspaper that all entry and exit points has been sealed whole public and transport movement in the area has also been stopped following this search operation.

A police officer told Kashmir Despatch searches in the area is on, he however added that no contact has been established sofar.
