Former JeI Members Launch New Political Party Jammu and Kashmir Justice and Development Front

Date:

Srinagar, Apr 27 : Former members of Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI) formally launched a new political party named Jammu and Kashmir Justice and Development Front on Sunday.

As Per former JeI members, the launch, initially scheduled to be held at SKICC on April 29, was observed with a simple press conference in view of the prevailing sorrow across the country.

“Today the party has been formally launched. Earlier, we had unveiled the banner in Kulgam. Although a grand program was planned, due to the current national mood, we kept the event simple,” the organizers said during the presser.

Expressing gratitude for the public support, the party leaders stated that they are committed to building a strong base at the grassroots level and vowed to participate in all upcoming elections. “For years, people have felt that their real representatives were absent from the field.

We have come forward to fill that gap and, we will strive to address the issues faced by the people,” they said.

On the recent tragic incidents that have gripped the nation, the party leaders strongly condemned the acts, terming them “heinous” and “beyond human behavior.” “Words fall short in condemning such brutality. It is truly a misfortune for all of us,” they said.

Regarding relations between the two countries, the leaders emphasized that there are sensible and wise people on both sides who can resolve the issues peacefully. “We stand firmly with our country,” they affirmed.

Among those present at the launch were former JeI general secretary Ghulam Qadir, Sayar Reshi, and several other prominent figures.
