Four OGWs threatening general public arrested in Sopore

Police on Thursday claimed to have arrested four over ground workers (OGW) in north Kashmir’s Sopore who were threatening general public by using posters.

Police in a statement issued to Kashmir Despatch said that four OGW’s were arrested along with incriminating materials during naka at Chatloora Gundmalraj crossing in Rafiabad.

The four OGW’s identified as Rameez Ahmed Malla son of Abdul Majeed Malla , Riyaz Khaliq Parray son of Abdul Khaliq Parray, Waseem Manzoor Ghazi son of Manzoor Ahmed Ghazi and Ikhlaq Imtiyaz Shiekh son of Imtiyaz Shiekh all residents of Watergam Rafiabad.

The police statement further reads that they were involved in intimidation and threatenings to general public.

In this regard a case FIR no. 161/2019 U/S 7/25 I . A act 18, 39 ULA (P) act stands registered in police station Dangiwacha and investigation is going on statement reads.

Pertainally, Sopore police last week arrested a local Lashker e Toiba militant in town and next day busted a militant hideout in the area.
