Friday prayers held at Jamia Masjid Sopore after 11 weeks

Sopore, 25 Oct : After 11 weeks authorities finally allowed Congregational prayers at historic Jamia Masjid in North Kashmir’s Sopore town since August 05 when BJp led government removed Article 370 and bifurcated state into two union territories.

Reports reaching Kashmir Despatch said that after 11 weeks authorities finally allowed people to offer Friday congregation prayers at old Jamia Masjid in Sopore , however the attendance of the devotees was thin.

Reports added that overall situation in town are improving and people during morning and evening hours are running their businesses.

Pertainally normal life across valley continued to remain affected as the historic Jamia Masjid at Nowhatta area of the city remained closed for congregation prayers for the consecutive 12 Friday”s.
