G20 summit benefits leadership to seek joint resolution for prevailing issues: Dr. Farooq Abdullah

Date:

Shopian, May 11: National Conference President and former chief minister J&K Dr. Farooq Abdullah Thursday said that G20 meeting benefits leadership to sit and discuss the prevailing issues and seek their resolution jointly.

“G20 meeting is not new. It happens every year in participant countries on their turn. However there is a benefit for the leadership to sit together and find out resolution of issues mutually,” Dr Farooq Abdullah said on the sidelines of a workers convention held in southern Shopian.

Replying to a query, the former CM said I can’t say anything till poll results are out. “I will not comment on results. I cannot say anything. I have seen many times that poll results contradicted our expectations. We know Muslims across have become agents of our rivals. They play easily in their hands. So I appeal to my people to stand up and work for making the party strong,” he said.

He added many political groups have been given assignments to weaken the roots of NC.

“Those who were chanting Pakistan in past have switched to India just with an aim to weaken the influence of National Conference,” he added.
