LEH, Oct 13: Department of Physical Education and Sports, Government Degree College, Nubra, organised an intramural sports competition at the college premises on Tuesday.
Director of Physical Education and Sports, GDC Nubra, Sonam Chosphail, welcomed the participants. Principal, GDC Nubra, Dr Tsewang Motup, emphasised the importance of sports for physical and mental health.
Ghulam Hussain and Sushmeta Roka of Semester 4 were the winners in the carrom tournament.
Students of Semester 4 also won the volleyball competition.
Rigzin Namgail and Bilqus Bano emerged winners in the shot put category, whereas Rigzin Namgail and Sonam Chuzin won the discus throw competition.
Team A comprising students of Semester 5 won the tug of war competition. Rigzen Wangtak of Semester 5 and Tashi Lamo of Semester 4 emerged as winners in the 100m race category.
The winners were given certificates and medals.
