Srinagar : Pakistan Army chief General Qamar Javiad Bajwa has reiterated the Pakistan Army’s support and commitment to the Kashmir cause and its people.
The army chief gave this assurance to President Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Masood Khan, during a meeting.
At the occasion, matters of mutual interest particularly situation on Line of Control (LOC) and Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IoJ&K) were discussed, says a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations directorate.
Later, Italian Ambassador to Pakistan, Stefano Pontecorvo, paid a farewell call on the army chief at the GHQ. During the meeting, the COAS thanked the ambassador for his services in Pakistan and acknowledged his contributions towards strengthening the Pakistan-Italy relations.
The visiting dignitary appreciated Pakistan’s role for ensuring peace and stability in the region, said the press release.
