Girl comes in contact with a live wire in Tral dies

Tral, Oct. 26: A 22-year-old girl was electrocuted to death in south Kashmir’s Tral village on Wednesday evening, officials said. 

An official told Kashmir Despatch that a 22-year-old girl Hafsa Farooq daughter of Farooq Ahmad Ganie of Tral was cleaning the slab at her maternal aunt’s home (at Chandrigam)and when she stood up carrying the steel pipe, it got in touch with LT and fell unconscious on the ground. 

The office said, however, she was immediately brought to sub-district hospital Tral by family members where doctors declared her dead on arrival.

Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of this incident.
