Sopore police on Saturday evening claimed to have solved a kidnapping case and recovered girl within 24 hours.
Police in a statement issued to Kashmir Despatch said based on the registered case, the police initiated a rescue operation on the directions of SSP Sopore Javaid Iqbal at various places to trace the missing girl.
After hectic efforts by team which was constituted by SDPO Sopore Raja Majid and was headed by station house officer Azim Iqbal traced out kidnapped girl and later handed over to her parents after completion of legal formalities.
The accused involved in the kidnapping, has been detained, the police statement further added.
