Junaid Matoo joins party ranks, says JKAP believes in politics of delivery

Srinagar, Nov 27: Jammu Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) president Syed Altaf Bukhari on Friday urged Government of Jammu and Kashmir to ensure justice while probing multi-crore Roshni Land scam so that no guilty would be spared unpunished and no innocent would be harassed unnecessarily. 
The former minister who was speaking media persons on the sidelines of joining ceremony of SMC Mayor Junaid Azim Matoo, who won SMC Mayoral elections with 44 votes yesterday. Bukhari said that whosoever has “illegally” encroached land under Roshni At should be exposed in public with exemplary punishment.
“Those who are involved in grabbing land under Roshni Act illegally should be exposed without any delay and given exemplary punishment so that malicious intent elements who rely upon looting public assets and money will get a lesson”, Bukhari said.
He also said that that whosoever has availed benefits under the scheme through proper procedures must not be harassed; adding that the JKAP will not act as a mute spectator, if any innocent would be harassed unnecessarily.
Meanwhile at the occasion, the recently elected SMC Mayor Junaid Azim Matoo joined the party who was welcomed by Bukhari and other senior leaders.
“I joined JKAP because I feel this is the platform which believes in politics of delivery”, Matoo said while addressing media person at the occasion.
