Govt.Degree College Tral  organises Drug Awareness Programme at Kahlil

Pulwama: The Department of Zoology  and Debates,Seminars and  Cultural Committee of the college organised an outreach awareness program under the supervision of the Principal of the college Prof(Dr.) Mushtaq Ahmad Malik at Kahlil Tral under the banner of Nasha Mukht Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan on 31st August 2023.

The program was organised in close coordination with  the Panchayat halqa Kahlil ,Tral in which the community members, in addition to students and faculty from GHS Kahlil and GDC Tral also participated. 

After the brief introductory cum welcome address by Dr.Shaheen Khursheed, HOD Zoology and the keynote address was delivered by Prof. Ishaq Ahmad Wani, HOD English, who, in his address, urged the audience to contribute positively to eradicate the menace of drug abuse at the grassroot level and cooperate with the authorities to curb it.

Mansha Ashraf, Sheikh Wasil and Najma-ul-Wahid students from GDC Tral in their elaborate presentations deliberated upon the devastating effects of drug abuse. 

Masood Ahmad Bhat, Headmaster, Govt.High School Kahlil in his concluding remarks highlighted the need  to identify and rehabilitate drug addicts in our respective localities and do everything possible to save our future progeny. 

The Panch of Halqa Kahlil and community members applauded the efforts of GDC Tral for conducting such need-of-the-hour  programs. Vote Of Thanks was proposed by Prof. Tariq Ahmad Najar (Department of English)
