SRINAGAR, Mar 13: The government on Thursday ordered a hike in Dearness Allowance (DA) for employees and pensioners under the 6th Pay Commission from 239 % to 246 % of basic pay and pension.
According to an order the revised DA will be effective from July 1, 2024. The order further said the arrears for the additional installment from July 2024 to February 2025, shall be paid in cash in the month of March 2025 and shall form part of the month salary from March, 2025 onwards. “The payment will be rounded off to the next higher rupee where applicable,” the order reads.
