SRINAGAR, Feb 4: Over 170 Community Information Center (CIC) Operators working in rural development department on contractual basis are awaiting regularization even though their claims were by an empowered committee three years ago.
A delegation representing these CIC operators while talking to Kashmir Despatch said that their regularization file was cleared by the empowered committee constituted by the J&K government in 2017.
“During its 58th and 60th meetings under special Provision Act 2010, the empowered committee cleared our case and recommended our regularization to the government. But unfortunately, we are still awaiting the final orders of the government,” one of the representatives of these aggrieved operators told Kashmir Despatch.
These aggrieved operators said that besides the approval granted by the empowered committee, the matter has already been cleared by the Law department with all requisite formalities including creation of posts with requisite financial concurrence.
“Regrettably the matter lies in limbo in the administrative department of Rural Development and despite repeated reminders the department is yet to take a formal and final call on the subject, causing immense sufferings to our families,” another delegate of these operators told Kashmir Despatch.
They appealed to the Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha to intervene into the matter and resolve their long pending grievance for the sake of their suffering families. “We appeal to the Hon’ble Lt. Governor to personally intervene into the matter and resolve our genuine grievances being ignored by the administration for unknown reasons,” they appealed.
