Srinagar, Aug 26 (KNS): The government of Jammu and Kashmir Thursday ordered reconstitution of J&K Advisory Board for the Welfare and Development of Other Backward Classes with Lt. Governor to be its chairman.
In an order, a copy of which lies with Kashmir Despatch, the government accorded sanction for the reconstitution of the J&K Advisory Board.
“In supersession of all previous orders on the subject, the sanction is hereby accorded to the reconstitution of the J&K Advisory Board for Welfare and Development of Other Backward Classes,” reads the order.
As per the order Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha will be chairman of the board while
Advisor in charge, Social Welfare Department will be its vice-chairman.
The order states that administrative secretaries of Finance Department, Revenue Department, General Administration Department, Social Welfare Department, Planning Development & Monitoring Department, Law, Justice & Parliamentary Affairs, Director, Social Welfare Kashmir and Director, Social Welfare, Jammu to be its members and Secretary, J&K Advisory Board for the Welfare Development of Other Backward Classes to be its member secretary.
As per the order, non-official members of the board will be nominated by the Chairman.
