Waiver off interest on loan, announce discount on electricity & water bills
JAMMU, Sept 21: Apni Party Provincial President Women Wing Namrta Sharma today urged Lt Governor Manoj Sinha to waive off interest on loan of the middle class, lower middle class and small businessmen of Jammu.
In her statement to the press, Sharma said that the salary class families have been suffering because of financial implication emerged because of lockdown due to coronavirus pandemic spread.
The Apni Party Provincial President Manjit Singh, Aijaz Kazmi, Abhay Bakaya, Raqeeq Ahmed Khan, Sohan Singh, Sardeesh Rana, Vaibhav Mattoo, Janmeet Bali, Sheetal Singh among others were present on the occasion in which over dozen women from parts of City joined Apni Party. The Apni Party leader Aijaz Kazmi facilitated joining in the Party.
During this period, Sharma said the business establishments, private sectors employees, and even Govt employees faced the worst ever financial crunch.
“In this hour of difficulty, the Govt should extend helping hands to the people in need. The middle class; lower middle class and shopkeepers who run their small outlets have lost their source of earning in many cases. The income has dropped and they are not able to pay their loans or even electricity bills. Therefore, the Govt should give them relief and should not charge them electricity bills mounting to lakhs of rupee,” said Sharma.
The Apni Party Provincial President Women Wing said “Many people have poor financial condition and they are not able to pay electricity bills sent to them by the PDD.”
“It is the failure of the Dept which failed to collect charges since years and when the country is passing through a pandemic situation, the Govt Dept sending huge bills. The Lt Governor should intervene and announce some relief package for the middle, lower middle class families and small businessmen,” said Namrta Sharma. The people should be given discounts in electricity and water bills.
