Srinagar : Militants offered gun salute to slain Khateeb-Ul-Das at his native village Waghama village of Bijbhera in South Kashmir.
Sources said that masked militants , two to three in number appeared in Waghama village of Bijbhera and fired several rounds in the air to pay tribute to slain militant , who was killed along with his two associates in outskirts of Srinagar on Wednesday.
Local reports said that militants fired several rounds in the air and escaped from the spot.
A police officer said that we are verifying the facts.
Pertinent to mention here that in the brief gunfight one CRPF personnel also lost his life.
