Sopore, August 16: Gunshots were heard in outskirts of Sopore after forces launched a cordon and search operation.
Reports reaching Kashmir Despatch said that search operation was launched after a tip off about the presence of militants in orchards at Aftab Mohalla area in outskirts of Sopore.
Shortly after the launch of operation, atmosphere was reverberated with gun shots reports added.
Meanwhile reinforcement of forces rushed to the area .
A police official told Kashmir Despatch that operation in the area is underway.
