SOPORE: All India Congress Party Jammu and Kashmir Spokesperson Advocate Sheikh Amir has sought an FIR under several sections of IPC against the hate alleged speech made by Dharam Sansad at Haridwar.
In his complaint to Station Officer House (SHO) Baramulla, the spokesperson has stated that certain inflammatory, derogatory and violence provoking speeches made at “Dharm Sansad” held at Ved Niketan Dham from 17th December to 20th December 2021”.
At the event, the speakers made provocative statements against a minority section (Muslims). The event was organized by Yati Narisimhanand Giri of Juna Akhara who is already under police scanner for making hate speeches and inciting violence against Muslims, it stated.
“Yati Narisimhanand has also used derogatory remarks against our Prophet (Muhammad SAW) several times, which has hurt the religious sentiments of Muslims.
The Conference was also attended by Prabodhnanad Giri (President of Hindu Raksha Sena) BJP Mahila Morcha Leader (Udita Tyagi), BJP leader Ashwani Upadhyay, Sadhvi Annapurna (Mahamandleshvar of Niranjani Akhara)”,it added.
The statement further states the derogatory remarks made during the Dharm Sansad.
“So it becomes evident from the video links I have provided here that the participants of Dharam Sansad have committed cognizable offence u/S-153A, 259A and other relevant section of IPC. This is also a clear violation of fundamental rights and secularism which is a basic structure of the Indian constitution.
The sentiments of Muslims have been deeply hurt. So it is requested to kindly register FIR against organizer and speaker of Dharam Sansad”, it reads.
