Bandipora, June 2:- Heavy rains and hailstorm wreaked havoc in several villages of Bandipora on Friday evening, damaging crops and orchards.
The heavy rains,hailstorm resulted in extensive damage to crops and orchards across several villages of Bandipora namely Ashtangoo, Aloosa, Kehneusa, and Kema.
An official familiar with the situation said that the sudden onslaught of heavy rains was swiftly followed by a devastating hailstorm, leaving farmers in despair as their hard work was destroyed. The flourishing fields and vibrant orchards, once a source of sustenance and hope, now lay in ruins, leaving farmers to grapple with the magnitude of their losses.
Speaking with the Kashmir Despatch, one of the farmers, Muhammad Akbar, expressed his anguish at the situation. “My crops had been nurtured with care and dedication, but now they lay devastated. It breaks my heart to witness the destruction of months of hard work.
