Jammu : In a significant breakthrough, the Police Station Janipur has successfully solved the hit-and-run case registered under FIR No-55 U/S 279/304-A IPC on 04-05-2024. Since the accident, the accused had been evading arrest, creating a challenging investigation for the authorities.
A dedicated team was formed under the leadership of PSI Sharaz Ahmed, with Constable Anil Dev Singh and SPO Pankush Jamwal providing crucial assistance. After relentless efforts and meticulous investigation, the accused, Rohit Kumar, S/o Ramesh Kumar, a resident of Shant Nagar, Janipur, Jammu, has been apprehended.
The accident-causing vehicle, an Alto bearing registration number JK02AC5241, has also been seized. This development marks a significant step forward in the case, and further investigation is currently underway.
