Srinagar, June 12: Counter Intelligence Kashmir and J&K Police on Friday affixed court-issued proclamation notices at the residence of active Terrorist house currently based in PoK in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district after a special court in Srinagar declared a local resident among four accused persons as proclaimed offenders in a militancy-related case being investigated by the Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK).
According to officials, notices were pasted at one of the accused residents in Malangam and public places in their locality to inform residents about the court’s proclamation against Sher Mohammad alias Bahadur alias Riyaz, a resident of the village, who is wanted in connection with FIR No. 05/1996 registered at CIK Srinagar.
The proclamation was issued by the Court of the Additional Sessions Judge TADA/POTA and Special Judge designated under the NIA Act, Srinagar.
Besides the Bandipora resident, the court also issued notices against Mohammad Yousuf Shah alias Syed Salahuddin of Budgam, Ghulam Nabi Khan alias Amir Khan of Anantnag, and Nasir Yousuf Qadri of Srinagar.
Court records state that the accused are facing charges under various provisions of the RPC, the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), and the Enemy Agents Ordinance. The court observed that warrants issued against the accused could not be executed and that they were absconding or evading arrest.
The accused have been directed to appear before the court on July 14, 2026, at 10:00 AM. The proclamation warns that failure to appear within the stipulated period will invite further action under law.
