Hon’ble Mayor Srinagar reviews winter contingency action plan in a high level meeting.

Srinagar January 10th, 2023: The Hon’ble Mayor Srinagar, Mr.Junaid Azim Mattu today chaired a high level meeting at TRC Meeting Hall in Srinagar to review the winter contingency action plan.

In the meeting the preparedness action plan and the steps taken regarding any eventuality posed by the ongoing winters was discussed thoroughly. The meeting was attended by Commissioner SMC ,Managing Director KPDCL,Chief Engineer PDD kashmir,Chief Engineer Jal Shakti Kashmir ,Director FC&CA,Director Social Welfare, Joint Commissioners SMC, Secretary SMC,FA/CAO SMC, Health Officer SMC,SE Drainage Circle,Municipal Veterinary Officer SMC,Ex.Engineer L/R works Divisions SMC,Chief Enforcement Officer SMC and other Senior officials from different departments and SMC. Issuing clearcut guidelines to the concerned officials, Mr.Junaid directed all HOD’s to create a uniform control room in coordination with allied departments for the smooth functioning of all the departments in clearing the roads and other problems if faced by the general public.In order to ensure the hassle free movement in and around hospitals, Mr.Junaid directed Chief Sanitation Officer SMC to sprinkle salt in hospital compounds in advance especially on ramps so that the general public does not face any problem.Mr.Mattu has also directed PDD department to keep all front line warriors ready in case of any eventuality. The PDD Officials assured complete readiness of its frontline warriors with buffer stock of electric transformers and other allied accessories. Director FC&CA assured Mr.Mattu that their department is fully equipped with sufficient stock of basic necessities like Rice,Atta,Gas and kerosene.
