Srinagar, April 11: A mother as COVID-19 victim is such a vulnerable feeling someone ever dreamt off. Lonesome, separated souls, Detached hearts, split families this is what Coronavirus is all about.

As everyone is well aware a “Mother” is a selfless, loving human who gives up her desires and needs for her children, The same is the case in Kashmir hospital where a mother with COVID-19 infection battling for her life but more worried about her 05-year-old kid than herself.

In an exclusive chat with Kashmir Despatch a Coronavirus victim mother while sharing her emotions said it’s a tough ask for me and such a challenging period of my life don’t know what to say either cry or smile, shall I thank Almighty for this or else curse.

I can understand and aware that I am not the lone person who got diagnosed with COVID-19, there are many more mothers across the globe and I am deadly sure they might be feeling like me.

She said I was under home quarantine for 15 days before developing COVID-19 symptoms, and that was a horrible period of my life. “Just imagine residing with family members in one house but for me, I was miles away from them as I was stranded inside one room with closed doors and windows, for food and other assistance I used to call them over the phone and they were coming and dropping it outside the door of my room”.

She narrated that I wish I would have hugged my daughter but it was not possible for me don’t know whether I will get a chance in my life once again to hug my lovely child and to spend some good time with my family members ….tears while shedding from her eyes”.

However, I would thank my brother who took me to a hospital at the right time where I got tested and results were not in my favor. A doctor came to my brother and said she is COVID-19 positive.

“I saw my brother kneeling and I realized from his expressions that there is something fishy, it was the movement I started feeling I am stranded somewhere and started getting worried about my family.”

ہوا ہے تجھ سے بچھڑنے کے بعد یہ معلوم
کہ تو نہیں تھی تیرے ساتھ اک دنیا تھی۔

She narrated while crying, “Can you imagine how tough it would be for a homemaker, child-developer, a wife and a mother to be in such a condition where she can’t perform any task rather than cursing on herself.

She said I am not bothering about myself where this COVID-19 will take me but I am worried more about my sweet 05-year-old kid.

"Hi Meri Nanni Si Pari Tujhe Maloom Kya Hai Yeh Maa Tumhare Liye Kitni Tadapti hai Bas Tu Apna Khayal Rakhna".

This was a story of a Kashmir mother who is battling for life but still worried about her loved ones. We are sure the mother’s across the globe are feeling the same way this Kashmiri mother felt about their loved ones. “We are in such a pandemic situation where we should try our best to safeguard each other by following protocols and cooperating with Concerned authorities.”
