SRINAGAR, Sep 29: In a move to accommodate the growing requests of aspiring learners, the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has announced that the fresh admissions for its July 2025 academic session will now conclude on 30th September 2025. The university has once again extended the deadline to provide additional time to students who could not complete their admission formalities within the earlier schedule.
This extension is applicable to all academic programmes offered under the Open Distance Learning (ODL) and Online Learning modes. However, admission to semester-based and certificate programmes has already closed.
Highlighting the importance of this extension, Regional Director Dr. A.H. Rizvi reiterated IGNOU’s commitment to ensuring inclusive and flexible educational opportunities for learners across the Kashmir Division, including the Union Territory of Ladakh.
“This is the last opportunity for students to secure admission for the July 2025 session. We encourage all prospective learners to utilize this extended window before it closes on September 30,” Dr. Rizvi stated.
In addition to fresh admissions, Dr. Rizvi also informed that the re-registration process for July 2025 has been extended till 30th September 2025, with a late fee of ₹200. This applies to all programmes offered in ODL and online modes. Students enrolled in earlier sessions are strongly advised to re-register in their 2nd or 3rd year programmes within the given time to avoid last-minute rush.
For queries, guidance, or admission assistance, students have been advised to visit the IGNOU Regional Centre Srinagar at Saida Kadal, Rainawari, contact 0194-3102402, or write to [email protected].
