Sopore,July 09 : Sopore police on Tuesday claimed to have seized 80 bottles of illegally manufactured codeine from a residential house in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Police in a statement said that acting sternly against the menace of drugs inorder to to weed out this social crime from the society, Sopore Police received an information through credible sources regarding the banned drugs.
Statement reads that acting swiftly on this information a Police Party of Police Station Sopore led by station house officer Azim Iqbal under the supervision of DySP Sopore Raja Majid raided the house of Rouf Ahmad Mir son of Ghulam Hassan Mir resident of Adipora Sopore and recovered 80 bottles of Codeine.
Police statement further reads In this regard case FIR No. 188/2019 U/S 8/22 NDPS Act is registered in Police Station Sopore and investigation has been taken up.
