Pulwama : Police action continue on drug peddlers and dealers across Jammu and Kashmir, in a fresh incident illegal drugs worth lacs recovered from a peddler in southern region of Kashmir.
A police officer told Kashmir Despatch, on a specific information, a Police Party from Police Station Litter conducted raid at specific location at village Naina Batapora of Litter in presence of Executive Magistrate. During search 10.300 Kgms of Charas was recovered from the residential house of Bashir Ahmad Trumboo son of Ali Mohd of Naina Batapora.
The office said to nab the culprits, various locations were raided by police party which still continues.
To this effect a case FIR No. 12/2022 under 8/20 of NDPS Act. has been registered in Police Station Litter and investigation set into motion.
The office further added during initial investigation, It has been surfaced that Bashir Ahmad Trumboo and his wife are involved in drug supplying among the most vulnerable section of society i.e youths of the area. Besides that Police has also recovered 2 dozens of Mobile Phones from the spot which they had kept in exchange of drugs from youth.
It is pertinent to mention here that both husband and wife are notorious peddlers
