Illicit timber siezed in Ganderbal

Ganderbal, Sep 29 : Police in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Tuesday claimed to have siezed illegal timber in the district and arrested one accused smuggler.

Police in a statement issued to Kashmir Despatch said, Acting swiftly on specific information, a team from Police Post Gutlibagh led by DO PP Gutlibagh under the supervision of DySP HQRS Ganderbal, raided a house of Meer Ahmad Khan son of Samandar Khan of Wayil Wudder, Gutlibagh and seized illicit timber (03 logs and 17 ballies).

Police statement further reads, in this regard a case stands registered under relevant sections of law, investigation taken up and arrests are expected.
