Sopore, May 01: With the rapid growth of COVID-19 positive cases in Kashmir valley, authorities in north Kashmir’s Sopore town tracked down 71 new suspected persons who may have come in close contact with the earlier diagnosed victims.
Reports reaching Kashmir Despatch said as COVID-19 is heading forward and adding more fuel by contaminating many people across the Sopore belt, authorities have traced out new 71 suspects in the town.
A health official told Kashmir Despatch we have tracked down 71 fresh suspects in the town and samples of all have been taken and reports are awaited. Officer said these suspects are those who may have come in close contact with the victim cop and lady who were tested positive for this deadly virus earlier this week.
Pertinently, Seven Sopore residents tested positive for coronavirus on Thursday in SKIMS taking the total toll in Baramulla district to 101.
Twenty five fresh cases of Covid-19 were reported in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday taking the tally of total number of positive cases to 639.
