New Delhi, March 14 : India has firmly rejected Pakistan’s accusations of sponsoring terrorism following the Balochistan train attack and criticized Islamabad for blaming others instead of addressing its own internal issues.
Responding to media queries, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal dismissed the claims as “baseless” and reiterated that “the whole world knows where the epicentre of global terrorism lies.” He urged Pakistan to introspect rather than shift blame for its failures.
Pakistan had accused India of supporting terrorism after a deadly attack on a train in Balochistan, which resulted in the deaths of 21 passengers. However, Islamabad did not directly implicate New Delhi.
At a press briefing, Pakistan Foreign Office spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan claimed that the attackers were in direct contact with Afghanistan-based handlers during the incident. He urged Kabul to take action against groups like the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and prevent its territory from being used for anti-Pakistan activities.
Despite Pakistan’s shifting focus towards Afghanistan, Khan insisted that there was no change in policy and reiterated unverified allegations against India, accusing it of destabilizing neighboring countries and running a “global assassination campaign.” However, no concrete evidence was provided to support these claims.
