Indo-Pak armies trade gunfire along LoC in Kupwara

Kupwara, June 19: The armies of India and Pakistan exchanged gunfire this evening along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Karnah sector in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

Officials told Kashmir Despatch that Pakistani rangers resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation in Karnah Sector and targeted forward posts of the Indian Army with Mortars and other weapons.


A police officer also confirmed to Kashmir Despatch this cross border shelling and said firing from both sides is on, He however said that no loss of life or injury reported so far.
