Italy returned Kashmiri traced: DC Srinagar

SRINAGAR, Mar 22: A Kashmiri resident who had returned from Italy had tried to escape government enforced qurantine for people with travel history to prevent outbreak of Coronavirus in Jammu and Kashmir.


However, the person has been identified and traced by the authorities in Srinagar an official told Kashmir Despatch.


According to a tweet by Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Dr Shahid Choudhary, the suspected person had reached New Delhi from Italy via another port. Later he has taken train to reach Jammu wherefrom he has hired a cab to reach his home in Srinagar.


“Traced. Need collective focus to handle it. Things are not that simple as they appear from homes and office rooms,” Dr Choudhary has said in his tweet.

Earlier , The authorities in Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir have traced three PhD scholars who had earlier fled from Aligrah Muslim University (AMU) amid quarantine period without informing the varsity administration.
