Jal Shakti Department Employee Dies in Qazigund Road Mishap

Srinagar, May 19 : A Jal Shakti Department (previously PHE Department) died in a fatal road mishap in Qazigund area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district this afternoon.

Reports reaching GNS said that one Mehraj-ud-Din son of Ghulam Nabi Shah, resident of Yarholla Bonigam Qazigund was hit by a speedy tavera bearing registration number JK03C-7707 in his native village. He was subsequently removed to a nearby health facility where the doctors however declared him as brought dead on arrival.

Confirming the incident, a police official told GNS that the victim was a Jal Shakti Department employee. “We have registered a case into the incident for due investigations”, the official said.
