Baramulla : The dilapidated condition of roads in Jal Sheeri village of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district is giving a tough time to the commuters.
The residents of Jalsheeri Naranthal which is barely 4 or 5 kms away from main town Baramulla claimed that they are facing immense hardships due to the pathetic condition of road in their village.
They said this village consists of 500 households who everyday have to travel to Baramulla for Jobs, school, and other work. The main road connecting this village to Baramulla is under PMGSY was macadamized few years ago but it took just a year of heavy vehicle rush to restore the road to its original position of dust, holes, bumps etc. There are 4 main link roads from main road to inside village who are worst looking than nallahs. These roads if called drains and dust valleys won’t be wrong.
They said PWD has failed to undertake even minor repair work on this vital road resulting in lying in dilapidated condition for the past years.
The residents appealed the administration to come to their rescue by addressing their problem and providing them better road connectivity in the area at the earliest.
Meanwhile when Kashmir Despatch contacted concerned authorities said that this issue will be redressed this season and all the roads will be macadamized.
