Jammu and Kashmir People’s Association (JKPA) paid rich tributes to the July 13 martyrs, stating that their contribution for democracy and justice can never be forgotten by the people of J&K.
In a statement issued here, Chairman JKPA Aquib Wani said “Those who sacrificed their lives for democracy, justice and dignity shall continue to inspire people to fight against oppression and their revrance cannot be erased by dropping holiday from the government calendars.”
Kashmir Co-Ordinator JKPA, Sayed Tajamul Imran said that “July 13 is a watershed event in the history of J&K which is being given communal colour by myopic sighted communal forces who are attempting to erase our history, culture, identity of which we are proud and we’ll oppose their nefarious designs.”
“The struggle for which these men sacrificed their lives was not against any region, religion or clan but against autocracy which paved way for democracy and justice” said Aquib.
