Grandmother Passes Away in Baramulla

BARAMULLA, Nov 8: Saja Begum, wife of late Syed Mohammad Akbar and grandmother of JD Information Syed Shahnawaz Bukhari and Superintendent of Police (SP) Sajad Bukhari, passed away on Saturday, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and respect in her community.
Family sources said that Saja Begum breathed her last at her residence after a brief illness. She was laid to rest at her ancestral graveyard in Hajibal, Baramulla, where relatives, friends, and well-wishers joined the funeral prayers to pay their final respects.
Her demise has been widely condoled by relatives, acquaintances, and the media fraternity. Expressing deep sorrow over her passing, Syed Basharat, Editor-in-Chief of Kashmir Despatch newspaper, extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
“I express my sincere condolences and stand in solidarity with the Bukhari family in this hour of grief, praying for solace and strength for all those affected by this loss,” Basharat said in his condolence message, while praying for eternal peace to the departed soul.
The passing of Saja Begum has been described as an irreparable loss for the family and those who knew her for her warmth and compassion.
