Srinagar, Mar 11 : Police in Budgam have arrested three JeM militant associates and recovered arms and ammunition from their possession.
“Acting on a specific input, police along with security forces arrested three militant associates affiliated with proscribed militant outfit JeM. They have been identified as Dilawar Sofi, Sameer Yousuf Ganie and a minor all residents of Chadoora Budgam,” a police spokesman said in a statement.
The arrested persons were active in the area for last few months and were involved in various subversive activities and providing shelter and logistic support to militants, the spokesman said.
“On their disclosure, incriminating materials including arms and ammunition have also been recovered”.
A case under relevant sections of law stands registered in police station Chadoora and further investigation is in progress, he added.
