*Sujit Kumar to head Kashmir Zone, Tajinder Singh gets Jammu*
SRINAGAR, Aug 27 The Jammu and Kashmir government on Thursday effected a major bureaucratic reshuffle in the police department, transferring and posting 14 officers including several IPS and JKPS officers with immediate effect.
According to an order issued by Principal Secretary Chandrakar Bharti, M.K. Sinha, IPS (AGMUT:1996), has been transferred from ADG Headquarters to take over as ADG CID, Jammu and Kashmir. He replaces Nitish Kumar, IPS (AGMUT:1999), who has been moved to ADG Armed Police.
Sujit Kumar, IPS (AGMUT:2007), has been shifted from IG Security to IG Kashmir Zone, one of the most sensitive postings in the Valley. He replaces Bhim Sen Tuti, IPS (AGMUT:2004), who has been transferred to Police Headquarters as IG HQ against an available vacancy.
Vivek Gupta, IPS (AGMUT:2007), has been transferred from IGP Railways to IGP Security, taking over from Sujit Kumar. Uttam Chand, IPS (AGMUT:2002), has been moved from IGP (Police Operations & Services) to IGP Railways and has also been given additional charge of his previous post till further orders.
Tejinder Singh, IPS (AGMUT:2008), has been transferred from IG CID to IG Jammu Zone, replacing Bhim Sen Tuti. Shakti Kumar Pathak, IPS (AGMUT:2009), has been designated as Director of the Anti-Corruption Bureau.
Mubassir Latifi Ameer, IPS (AGMUT:2011), has been transferred from DIG (Personnel) PHQ, where he held additional charge of DIG Training, to DIG IR Kashmir against an available vacancy.
At the district level, Sahil Sarangal, IPS (AGMUT:2017), has been transferred from SSP Handwara to SSP Pulwama. Sunny Gupta, IPS (AGMUT:2020), has been transferred from Addl SP Anantnag to SSP Kishtwar, replacing Naresh Singh.
Tahir Saleem Khan (JKPS:2001) has been moved from Staff Officer to IG Kashmir Zone to SSP Handwara, taking over from Sarangal. Muzaffar Ahmad Shah (JKPS:2004) has been transferred from SSP SCW Kashmir to Staff Officer to IG Kashmir Zone.
Naresh Singh (JKPS:2004) has been moved from SSP Kishtwar to SSP Rajouri against an available vacancy. (KNS)
