Sopore, Dec 03 : The Fruit Mandi Association of Sopore in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Monday held a press conference against recent decision of the State Administrative Council (SAC) in declaring Jammu and Kashmir Bank as a Public Sector Undertaking (PSU).
During the press conference which held at Fruit Mandi in which President of Sopore Fruit Mandi Fayaz Ahmad Malik alais Kakaji while seeking the rollback of SAC’s decision of declaring Jammu and Kashmir Bank a PSU, said that we condemn this decision of Government for taking this step which will create problem here in Kashmir especially for poor category people.
He said that Jammu and Kashmir Bank despite being a back bone for people here, government should not touch this as thousands of families will be affected badly.
Meanwhile president expressed apprehensions that this will adversely impact the functioning of Jammu and Kashmir Bank and shake the confidence of its huge clientele.
Others who were present in the press conference including industries President Javeed Ahmed and other senior fruit growers of town were present.
