Challenges new quota system citing impact on General Category
New Delhi, August 16: A delegation from the Jammu & Kashmir Civil Society met with Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Nityanand Rai, to discuss concerns regarding the recently implemented reservation policy in the Union Territory.
The delegation expressed apprehension about the policy’s impact on open merit and general category students. They raised concerns that the new guidelines have significantly reduced opportunities for these students in higher education and government jobs.
