Srinagar, Feb 11: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has designated the Administrative Secretary, Finance Department, as the Union Territory-Level Nodal Officer in connection with the implementation of the 8th Pay Commission recommendations.
According to Government Order No. 182-JK(GAD) of 2026 dated February 11, 2026, issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), the Administrative Secretary, Finance Department, will coordinate and liaise with the Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance, Government of India, regarding matters related to the 8th Pay Commission.
The order states that the nominated officer will act as the focal point for all correspondence and coordination between the Union Territory administration and the Centre concerning the implementation process.
